I you like walking Viborg has many options to provide. Take a walk around the lakes close to the city center. Take a trip to Haldsø and with the combination of the forest and lake that will make you feel so relaxed.

It truly is a lovely city.
It truly is a lovely city. There is so much to explore and something new and surprising around almost every corner. The shopping is good and the food outstanding. I would recommend Viborg to anyone looking to get away for a nice break.

Cute little village, worthy of a stop while visiting Jutland. The people are all so nice and the village is full of charm. I stayed at a local BnB and it had a beautiful courtyard full of flowers. A very nice stay in Viborg.

Great views over the lake from the breakfast table. We enjoyed the spa with indoor swimming, an outdoor hot Jacuzzi, a Viking shower (cold water bucket), a sauna, and a steam bath (pic from our hotel room shows the outdoor spa facilities). It turned to a rainy day, so heading to Mønsted Kalkgruber (lime mines) was terrific and one of the highlights of our tour. Endless caves with magical light. Kids and adults loved it.AnttiFinland

Eventually, you can be lucky to have a room on the back! The building(s) seems new, the room was bright, large and clean, almost in pristine condition, there is also a small table with two chairs in front of your door if you want to stay outside. Inside, you can find a fridge, tv and a kettle with some herbal teas and coffee, nice and large bathroom as well. No carpet inside, for me this is a plus! :)thewolf71Italy

Breakfast was outstanding, and was delivered to our door. The host and hostess are so kind and friendly. They made excellent suggestions for restaurants in town. The charming town is just a short drive. There were even two friendly horses in a field next to the drive. They came to us each time we stopped. This was our most enjoyable stay we had in 5 weeks of travel in Sweden and Denmark.
