Denmark’s city of Aalborg is well known for its great tasting food. But not many know that the place also boasts of being a favorite destination for beer lovers.
Just this spring, Aalborg unveiled its so called Beerwalk. The spot is the brainchild of six local beer pub owners who wanted to provide residents and visitors with a relaxing area for drinking their favorite drink and enjoying great entertainment whether in the afternoon or in the evening.
The Aalborg Beerwalk is now offered in the form of a tour to families and groups of friends who’d like to experience Denmark’s unique tasting beer. Through this tour, one will be able to taste six special types of beer in the city’s six pubs among them Sogaards Bryghus which makes five to six various beers. At this place, visitors are welcomed with a giant steaming copper kettle oozing with the hops’ aroma. The five others you can tour are The Irish House which offers Irish and English beers, John Bull which offers Danish and foreign beers, The Old Games, London Pub which has 12 varieties of beer and The Wharf which offers draught beer.
Each tour participant gets a tasting glass and vouchers to avail of six samples of some of the world’s best beer. They will be also be guided to Aalborg’s six pubs and get the chance to join in a competition with wonderful prizes up for grabs. The lucky winner in the competition will enjoy a VIP tour for a group of up to 20 friends around a distillery which creates the famous schnapps of the city.
