If you are a resident of the United States, you are lucky! You don’t need any visa to travel to Denmark. Sounds good, right? In fact, this is very exciting making you want to travel to Denmark for leisure. So before you get that ticket booking, here is a lit if what else you need to know when travelling as a tourist in Denmark:

  • First, make sure that your passport is up to date that you can use it for travel. Make sure that your passport is valid for travel for at least 60 days before entering Denmark. This is to make sure that you won’t have any problems with their immigration officers when you enter the country.
  • Second, although you don’t really need a visa to enter Denmark if you are an American Citizen, however, it is a must that you have at least several blank pages in your passport where the entry pass and departure stamps can be put in.
  • Lastly, you must make sure that all transient visas needed for connecting flights are ready too. You don’t want to get stuck in an airport just because you failed to look into this further. For the countries you might pass through en route to Denmark, you must be able to fulfil their visa requirements, or you get stuck in the airport and not get the trip to Denmark like you wished.

 

There is just so much you can do in Denmark and getting the visa requirement is the first step to making your visit to Demark a reality. It’s a plus that you don’t have to get the visa if you’re American.
