The Arp-Hansen Hotel Group that already owns 9 hotels in Copenhagen has joined forces with architect Kim Utzon to design Wakeup Copenhagen – a new low budget hotel for visitors of this European destination.

Wakeup Copenhagen, located in the city centre within walking distance of several Copenhagen’s attractions, is a good place to stay overnight. Tivoli Gardens, Town Hall Square and Central Station are reachable within 10 minutes by foot. The Fisketorvet Shopping Centre and outdoor harbor swimming pool located near the hotel make this area even more attractive.

This 2 star hotel scheduled to open September 1st, 2009, offers 510 rooms at different levels. There is a choice from WakeUp Standard with the lowest prices at the lower floors. Prices for one night start at 35 EUR ($50), an extremely low price for Copenhagen. Although the rooms in category WakeUp Sky and WakeUp heaven cost little more the view is worth it. The higher your room is the better view you can enjoy.

The rooms are practically decorated with own toilet and bath, flat screen TV with a wide selection of channels to choose from, a nice workstation and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is absolutely non smoking and some rooms are allergy friendly.

Booking Wakeup Copenhagen rooms at each price level is very easy and is possible by phone as well as online, which saves you extra 100 DKK. The rooms are charged upon booking and electronic check-in counter makes the arrival smoother. As everything is charged at the arrival, the check out is even smoother and means just leaving the keys at the reception.

So if you plan a budget trip to the capitol of Denmark than this inexpensive, beautifully designed and perfectly  located hotel is the right place to sleep and “WakeUp” in Copenhagen.
